About me
Melissa Mack has been an educator for nearly 20 years. Throughout those years, she has taught math, science, social studies, language arts, computer science, and STEAM by Design. In her current role as director of digital learning & innovation at Durham Academy, she serves as a coach and thought partner to teachers, students, and parents on teaching, learning, and the intentional use of technology in and out of the classroom. She has collaborated on the school's AI vision, principles and curricular approaches, and is a passionate advocate for project-based learning. In her previous role as middle school digital learning coordinator, she helped lead the division's shift to competency-based learning and assessment and helped identify the learning management system that would support the new approach. Melissa provides onboarding and training to faculty and staff throughout the DA community related to educational technology tools.
